This card was made with the rub-ons from Sale-a Bration. Even the jumbo brad has a rub-on butterfly applied to the top.
I like the intense colour you get from the rub-ons.

Here is a card I made for a baby shower I am attending. I already know that the baby is a little boy which made it easier for colour choice.
The stamp set (Bundle of Joy) is retired but Bundled in Love, in the current catalogue, would work just as well. The sentiment a Sale-a-Bration limited edition set.

The April issue says that no entries were received so I have to guess that they did not make it there in time or they were lost in the mail (Boo hoo).
Too bad ... I really liked this one.
I didn't have an easter stamp set so I decided to use the centre of the "O" from my chipboard letters to make the egg shape and paired it up with the bird from "A Little Birdie Told Me".
Images copyright 1990-2008 Stampin' Up!The Bookmark was made with Chipboard pieces covered with paper (the ears are petal pieces). Then the edges were sponged. The centres of the ears were made with the oval punch and the other facial features were made with circle punches.
Images copyright 1990-2008 Stampin' Up!The jar is an empty Starbuck's Frappachino. The top was embellished with ribbon and several punched circles to cover the printing on the lid. The stamps used are Simply Said & Happy Heart Day. The pink gingham ribbon works nicely with Valentine's Day projects.
Notice the snow on the window sill. It is snowing here again - I can't see across the street right now. It's a great day for stamping :)

The candles on this card were made with Designer Series Paper (2" high) and then matted on Chocolate Chip cardstock. The sentiment is from Happy Everything. The flame on the candle is the leaf image from the stamp set Time Well Spent (This is a Level 3 Hostess Set). You could also use the leaf from Bud Basics. The wide Chocolate Chip satin ribbon is from the Theatre collection.
How do I get a perfect "V" cut on the ribbon?
A: Fold the ribbon in half and then make one diagonal cut from the outside edges of the ribbon downwards to the centre of the ribbon. Open and you have a perfect "V".
Images copyright 1990-2008 Stampin' Up!The main image was done with markers using the "Thumping" technique: Colour the stamp with the lightest marker first then thump (like a drum) with the darker marker. I stamped off before stamping the final image. This technique works best with Two-Step stamp sets.
The bottom half was made using a random pattern of one of the flower images from the stamp set featured: Heartfelt Thanks.

Images copyright 1990-2008 Stampin' Up!The background was created by colouring with markers on acetate and then misting with water. Next place a piece of glossy cardstock face down on the coloured acetate. Press gently then lift off and dry before continuing to stamp your image on top. I used Staz on Black ink.
Images copyright 1990-2007 Stampin' Up!This layout was made with the retired stamp set: Fishy Friends. The starfish border on the bottom is one image repeated by turning slightly each time to make them appear to be rolling.
The images were coloured with chalk for softness.
This is our tree for 2007. It is decorated with feather balls, feather boas, gold poinsettias, birds and various red & gold balls.
